Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
If someone offers 500m plus they will sell up. They can't afford this club the dwarf has made that obvious . When you moan about hotel and travel costs its over.

Norway.GSB are hated cos they have ripped the heart out of the club. There are thousands who continued to go home and away after 4 relegations.Theses same people have now walked away feeling no connection any more with the club they followed in some cases for decades.GSB OUT.

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
Why worry about who owns the club?
I’ve seen all the GSB out threads and most of them are full of old bollocks. Taking the Boleyn sale money, keeping the transfer money, etc., some would even blame them, if they missed a bus.

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
Gloucester in actual fact mate the 2023 clause would apparently only cost them around 6 million.-So in the bigger scheme of things perhaps not a gamechanger .

If the club was sold for £350 million, it costs the shareholders £8 million in penalties. Indeed, not a game changer. Every extra £10 million after that, would cost them an extra £2 million.

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
If we got into the Champions League. There in no fucking way the SPIVS would sell up. Any money earned would most likely be spent on a ad campaign. With the SPIVS shouting from every rooftop. How they managed to take a bankrupt team. And deliver Champions League football. And the price they are asking for would go through roof.

Not sure about the original question but one of them dying might open up the possibility of it being sold

Absurd.

They're not selling up until the clause they have in the contract which states they pay massive amounts back if sold within a certain time, has expired.

Just like we were stuck with the Cearn's and the likes of Reg Pratt ( lived up to his name) , then Brown, the Sullivans aint going anywhere, anytime soon. They and Gold are sensitive to criticism though so relentless reminders of how they essentially lied / conned their way to move from UP needs to be kept up. It might be enough for them to realise they will never get the adoration their fragile psyches need. Well thats the hope anyway.

Btw, was reading an article recently about the history of Scotland's hate of the English ( got a lot of time these days). Came across a nice new word for my vocab, namely, "perfidious" which is part of the phrase "Perfidious Albion" and describes the underpinnings of Sturgeon/SNP's obsession with breaking the Union. Anyway, I looked it up and realised it perfectly encapsulates Sullivan, Gold and Brady as it means "deceitful and untrustworthy". That is them to a tee and why they will never repair the relationship with the fans.

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
Rice has to represent a quarter to a third of the clubs (true) potential value alone. Do GSB therefore have to tread carefully with respect to keeping Rice at West Ham versus selling him?

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
Why would any potential buyer be interested in West Ham at the moment unless it is a knockdown price? It currently makes a loss and Covid has done for its revenue streams. Getting into Europe might improve that but it will require expenditure on players. Before 2023 GSB will want compensation for the payback penalty. The future ownership of the ground remains unclear. Unless GSB are forced to sell because their other business interests collapse they ain't going anywhere in the near future. Why would they?

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
I've absolutely no doubt that we'll still all be here this time next year asking the same question. They aren't gonna sell up at the very least until they have to give nothing back to the Government, and even then I can't see it happening if we're successful as they'll simply see that success as justification of their decision to hang on with minimal investment.

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
Nope, it'll just in their warped little minds believe the value of the club is significantly higher than it really is which will price any potential investors out.

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
It would depend on what they can do with the stadium. Of course at a quid it would be worth the gamble.

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
I thought there was something about the chance of buying the taxpayer lossmaker LS in 2023 (for a £1) which would make a sale more attractive perhaps?

Ask Brady to find a buyer so she can demand an extortionate commission.

Re: Could european football speed GSB selling up?/
No- they'll just push the price up even more. Like obstinate house sellers they would rather cut off their nose to spite their face holding out for an extra couple of quid than do the sensible thing.
